Graduate Certificate in Software Engineering
The Graduate Certificate in Software Engineering aims
to give practitioners, who hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
or a closely related field and at least one year of work experience in the computer software field,
the opportunity to advance into leadership positions in the software industry.
The focus is on sharpening capabilities to function effectively in software engineering teams
producing higher quality software.
The Graduate Certificate in Software Engineering shares many courses
with the MS in Software Engineering,
and students who start in the Graduate Certificate in Software Engineering
and who meet the entry requirements for the MS in Software Engineering,
can transfer credits earned towards the certificate.
However, because of university regulations, students can only transfer a limited number of credits,
and students enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in Software Engineering
who are interested in transferring into the MS in Software Engineering
are therefore advised to meet with the program coordinator
for the MS in Software Engineering at an early stage.
If you are interested in finding out more about our Graduate Certificate in Software Engineering please contact the Chair of the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Dr Venu Dasigi or the program coordinator for the program, Dr Sheryl Duggins. You can find information about the actual course requirements at cswe.spsu.edu.
