Undergraduate Students Southern Polytechnic State University and South Georgia College Sign Articulation Agreement for WebBSIT

Southern Polytechnic State University (SPSU) and South Georgia College (SGC) recently signed an agreement that allows students enrolled at SGC and interested in an undergraduate degree in Information Technology to complete the first two years of their program of study at the Douglas institution before completing their program of study at SPSU.  Since the SPSU courses are delivered fully online, the agreement provides students who want to start their studies at SGC with an opportunity to obtain a bachelor's degree in IT from SPSU without having to move to Atlanta.

Students will graduate from SPSU in the WebBSIT program.  The WebBSIT program is a fully online program that is offered by a consortium of five schools with the University System of Georgia.  In addition to SPSU, the WebBSIT consortium includes Armstrong State University, Clayton State University, Georgia Southern University and Macon State College.  The WebBSIT program prepares students to take on entry level positions in a variety of positions, including network administrator, web developer and database designer.
