The School of Computing and Software Engineering and the Extended University at Southern Polytechnic State University were recently invited by the Georgia Technology Association (GTA) to continue offering the Georgia Digital Academy.
The Georgia Digital Academy is an initiative of the Georgia Technology Authority. It is a learning program bringing state agencies together to develop technical solutions to common business problems in pursuit of GTA's vision of a more efficient and responsive government through the innovative use of technology. To date, the GDA has offered workshops on document management, active directory, data security and business continuity to a total of more than 175 participants from a range of different state agencies, most of whom were extremely satisfied with the workshops.
The project leader of the Georgia Digital Academy is Dr Richard Halstead-Nussloch Professor in the Department of Information Technology and director of CSE's eGovernment Center.
