FAQ about Advising
Q: Who is responsible for the classes I take?
A: You are! The Student Support Services (SSS) office and the Computer Science faculty are committed to the intellectual success and academic progress of SPSU's students. However, ultimately the student is responsible for choices made and classes taken.
Q: Who is my advisor?
A: Call your department to find out who your advisor is. If we are in phase III registration (the day before classes start to the end of drop/add), just stop by the department between 10:00am - Noon or 5:00pm - 7:00pm.
Q: I am having problems with my advisor, can I get a new one?
A: Yes. If you feel uncomfortable with your advisor, call your department head to get a new one. Advising is very important and if getting advised means changing your advisor, by all means do it.
